KYIV - On 1 May 2011, DLA Phillips Fox in Australia (which is now DLA Piper Group firm) will become DLA Piper Australia.  As a result, DLA Piper will have a footprint across 30 countries and 75 offices, accommodating more than 4,100 lawyers, and it will boast the largest Australian operation for a global business law firm.  After the integration DLA Piper will become the largest law firm in the world in terms of number of lawyers.

The move toward integration has been a positive and proactive response to the changing legal market and the globalisation of business.  It is also a reflection of the increased importance of the Asia-Pacific region.

Plans for the integration of DLA Piper International LLP (DLA Piper) and leading Australian business law firm DLA Phillips Fox are now in full swing, following a strong demonstration of support via a partner vote within both firms which concluded on 28 February 2011.

Kyiv office of DLA Piper is part of DLA Piper, a global law firm. The Kyiv team comprises more than 30 lawyers and is headed by Managing Partner Margarita Karpenko. DLA Piper is a global law firm with over 3,500 lawyers across 70 offices and 29 countries.
