KYIV- ISTIL Group has acquired Obukhiv-based plastic furniture and household goods producer Aleana Ltd. (former Ukrplastic XXIst Century Ltd.) in the Kyiv region. The company is mentioned as the group's asset on its official web site. 

ISTIL Group did not disclose the conditions and the sum of the deal in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine, saying that it was struck in 2010.

According to the group, Aleana's produce includes plastic furniture (a 30% market share), goods for the garden (29.5%), household goods (19%), plastic kitchenware (17%), and packaging (5%).

The company also produces TV cabinets for Samsung Electronics Ukraine and Saturn under licensing agreements. Its produce is also exported to the CIS and the European Union.
