for Winning the Ukraine National Championship
Support is Needed to Compete in Washington DC
The team of law students from National University of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” has again won the Ukrainian National Moot Law Competition Rounds and will represent Ukraine as national champions at the White & Case International Rounds of the2013 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competitionin Washington, DC, on March 31 – April 6, 2013.
The university is unable to provide the team with financial assistance. The Kyiv Mohyla Law School Moot Court Team is seeking support from sponsors, including law firms, lawyers’ organizations, and individuals. As in past years, the Ukrainian-American Bar Association will assist the team of law students in Washington and will make a contribution toward the the trip to the United States, but more funding is needed to meet all the expenses. The team’s members are Victoria Matsenko, Khrystyna Korpan, Maria Rudko, AndriiGumenchuk, Orest Franchuk, and their coaches are SerhiiPetukhov, Victoria Stavchuk. The budget includes international and local transportation, accommodations, meals, and fees. Every contribution will make a significant difference and will enable the team to compete on an international level.
The Jessup Competition brings together top law students from across the globe. In its 54th year, the Jessup is the world’s largest moot court competition for law students, with participants from more than 600 law schools around the world. Only the winners of national competitions are entitled to represent their countries in Washington, D.C., where the Ukrainian team will compete in oral rounds against teams from more than 80 countries.
Financial support to enable the team of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy to represent Ukraine in the international rounds in Washington is kindly requested. Sponsors will be included into the list of official sponsors of the 2013 Jessup Moot Court Competition that will be published by the International Law Student Association (ILSA) in the promotion materials. Members of the team will answer all questions and discuss possible assistance.
The team will represent Ukraine at the international competition in Washington.
