Lawyers of Arzinger Law Office represent interests of one of the biggest in Ukraine foreign manufacturers of building materials before the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine due to Committee’s research of the building materials market.
Currently, the central office of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) is conducting a big scale research of the building materials market in Ukraine and for these purposes has sent its informational requests to key market players. Based on their great knowledge of the specifics of the client’s business and the industry in general in course of this project lawyers of Arzinger provided the client with a number of recommendations regarding preparation of substantiated responses to the informational request of the Committee, directly supported preparation of the written response to the AMCU and of all the requested documents, as well as their timely submission to the AMCU. On this stage, the AMCU examines the received information and will then decide about its next steps in market research.
“Based on our vast experience in similar projects we clearly understand that the Committee is just getting to know the building materials market and the situation thereon for the last periods. Having obtained general information about the client’s activity in the answer to this informational request, the AMCU will, most probably, continue to work with our client and the market as a whole and we cannot exclude the possibility that AMCU will send further requests regarding more detailed analysis of single aspects of the market activity (for instance, procedure for cooperation with wholesale buyers, price establishment in the whole marketing chain etc.). Nevertheless, our client has a solid legal position and its internal antitrust policies elaborated with our help and regularly conducted trainings for key employees allow our client to be very attentive to and avoid different risks of antitrust nature in its activity and to be prepared to any antitrust inspections or investigations”, commented on the project Timur Bondaryev, Managing Partner and co-head of the Antitrust and Competition Practice.
Legal support of this project is provided by Oleksander Dyakulych, Associate of the Arzinger’s Antitrust and Competition Practice, under the supervision of Timur Bondaryev, Managing Partner and co-head of the practice.
