On March 27, 2012 finals of the National Competition on International Arbitration under the aegis of the European Arbitration Chamber took place. In general, teams from 8 Ukrainian universities took part in the competition, 3 of them made it to the finals.

Natalia Ivanytska, LL.D, Attorney-at-law, Senior Associate at Arzinger Law Office, became member of the jury that judged the performance of the teams.

There were 3 stages of the competition: first of all, teams gave their argument presentations on decisions in specific cases before the jury, then competitors asked each other a number of questions, and, finally, the competitors answered questions of the jury.

The winner of the Competition is the team of the National Shevchenko University; teams from the National University “Odessa Legal Academy” and Lviv National Ivan Franko University got the 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
