On May 17, 2013, VKP’s Partner and Head of Labour and Employment Practice Oksana Voynarovska conducted a webinar on labour disputes, their causes, preventative remedial devices and resolution options.

Judging from the number of registered attendees representing a wide array of industry sectors this issue must be highly relevant and applicable regardless of the type of business one is in.

The issue of individual labour disputes seemed to have hit a nerve with the audience, in particular, challenging execution of an agreement with an employee in the form of a contract, the specifics of employee layoffs when they are indebted to the employer, the use of digital signatures as evidence in court, etc. In addition, Oksana presented to the audience the peculiarities of considering collective labour disputes, disciplinary proceedings, and also addressed the intricacies of settling labour disputes in court.
