On 17 February 2011 Oleksander Dyakulych, Associate in the Antitrust and Competition Law Practice at Arzinger, gave a lecture to the students of the Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University within the Arzinger Academy project. Once again students of the university listened with great interest to the lecture “Antitrust Regulation: Insight of a Practicing Lawyer” which confirms the relevancy of this company’s project.

In his lecture Oleksander Dyakulych presented to the law students his opinion on the most disputable antitrust issues. Thus, during his report Oleksander gave a legal and economic definition of “competition” and its use in the antitrust practice. The students were especially interested in the opinion of two most important schools in the antitrust sphere (Chicago and Harvard) regarding antitrust role in the regulation of market relations and competition. He focused separately on the definition of a “cartel” and factors of cartelization of a market as well as on practices for resistance to oligopolies. A part of his lecture Oleksander dedicated to issues of cooperation between aspects of intellectual property and antitrust regulation.

Students were also very interested in the form of the project Arzinger Academy itself that allows students to learn and glean experience of the successful legal practitioners.

Arzinger Law Office has launched its educational project Arzinger Academy in September 2010. One of the major goals of this project is to provide students with a pre-employment understanding about peculiarities and tasks of employees in the private legal business.
