DuPont Pioneer Hospitably Opened Doors of Its Production Facility
in Stasi to Visitors

On August 14, 2013 DuPont Pioneer Ukraine held the Open Day at its production facility located in the village of Stasi, Dykan Region of Poltava Oblast. It was attended by more than 200 interested in seeing the technically unique state-of-the-art facility at work.

DuPont Pioneer Ukraine invested over $40 million in the construction of the production facility, which was launched in June 2013. The Open Day began with a brief presentation by Petro Tuz, Facility Director, about main goals and core operations of DuPont Pioneer in the world and in Ukraine, as well as the manufacturing capacity of the production facility. He also noted that the investment into the production facility is one of the many investments the company makes to support local product development of Pioneer® brand maize and sunflower, as well as to help improve productivity and efficiency of growing these agricultural crops by Ukrainian farmers. One of the Core Values in the company ​​is a respect for the environment. Efficient production is safe for people and environment. The company has established modern world safe technologies, as well as the equipment, and the work is built in accordance with all regulatory requirements.

After the presentation the visitors toured the production facility to see at first-hand the seed processing procedure. Overall, the facility held four tours during the Open Day. The highlight of the Open Day was the opportunity to talk to the company and the facility management during the event.

The decision to build the production facility in the village of Stasi, as well as the decision to open the research center in Lyubartsi (Kyiv Oblast) in 2010, confirm the company’s commitment and willingness to work for the Ukrainian market. The Open Day was a unique opportunity for everyone to see the advanced manufacturing process at the DuPont Pioneer Ukraine’s production facility.
