VIV – The consulting company PwC will expand its presence in Ukraine by opening a Service Delivery Centre in Lviv in early 2018. The Centre will carry out a wide range of professional services tasks for PwC audit, tax and advisory projects across Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). The Centre will hire at least 350 staff members.

“Opening the Service Delivery Centre in Lviv is a key element of our development strategy, not just in Ukraine but across CEE. The location was selected after thorough analysis. Lviv met all our expectations: access to highly educated local talent, convenient location, open business environment, significant opportunities for innovation, not to mention the growing role of Ukraine in the regional business community”, says Richard Pollard, Country Managing Partner of PwC Ukraine.

The Lviv SDC will become the third such center that PwC has established in CEE. PwC also advises companies from all over the world in respect of choosing optimal locations and implementing the process of building a shared services center.

Recruitment for the center is set to begin right away. With plans to hire at least 350 people, the PwC SDC in Lviv will provide excellent working conditions as well as unique educational and career opportunities for young talent from all over the country.

DEMONSTRATES UKRAINE'S POTENTIAL FOR BUSINESS GROWTH AND IMPROVING BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

“The fact that PwC CEE has selected Ukraine from among other European countries demonstrates Ukraine’s potential for business growth and will be seen as an indicator of the country’s improving business environment.

Cross-border cooperation as part of planned operations of the Lviv SDC will help Ukraine to build stronger business ties with other countries in the region and the broader global business community”, says Adam Jamiol, partner in PwC CEE, a consultancy market leader in the SSC/BPO sector in Central and Eastern Europe.

The SDC will further improve Lviv’s international reputation and boost the visibility of the city and region. The PwC Lviv SDC joins a number of previously established Shared Services Centres in the city. As the first center to offer high value added professional services, the Lviv SDC represents a new chapter in the city’s growing reputation as a regional business center.
