DLA Piper has announced that the All-Ukraine Scholarship Competition for Law Students of 2013-2014 has begun. The competition, being held for the seventh consecutive year, is aimed at law students in Ukrainian universities, providing a work experience opportunity in the form of a month-long scholarship in the firm's Kyiv office. 

The judging panel for the competition includes Natalya Bondarenko (Legal Director, Carlsberg Ukraine), Chala Kateryna (General Director, Sitronics Information Technologies), Margarita Karpenko (Managing Partner, DLA Piper in Ukraine), Natalia Kochergina (partner and Head of Real Estate, DLA Piper in Ukraine), Olga Kravchenko (Head of Legal Department, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine), Anna Lazurenko (Head of Legal, Louis Dreyfus Commodities Ltd. LLC), Andriy Osipov (Head of Legal Department and Compliance Officer, Metro Cash & Carry Ukraine Ltd), Oksana Syroyid (Director, Ukrainian Legal Foundation), Yuriy Vakhel (Head of Legal and Business Development, Noble Resources Ukraine LLC, Expert of the Ukrainian Agricultural Confederation), Oleksandr Vinnikov (LEP Legal Advisor, USAID Project) and Andrii Zhurzhiy (Head of Legal Department, Fozzy Group).

The deadline for application forms and supporting material is 21 February 2014. Round tables with semi-finalists and the award ceremony will take place in April 2014.

All-Ukraine Scholarship Competition for Law Students is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Students' League of Ukrainian Bar Association, as well as USAID, the access to justice and legal empowerment project in Ukraine and European student's forum "AEGEE-Kyiv.
