CRDF Global invites U.S. scientists and researchers to apply to the Shale Gas Collaboration and Travel Program, the first grant program under CRDF Global’s Regional Shale Gas Initiative. The program will provide grants for travel of up to one month in Poland and/or Ukraine to facilitate the development of shale gas and other unconventional fossil fuel resources in these countries. Possible uses of the grant include delivering lectures, developing curricula for further training of geologists and engineers, and carrying out laboratory and field work on issues related to shale gas exploration in Poland and Ukraine. Funding for the Shale Gas Collaboration and Travel Program has been provided by the National Science Foundation. Four grants of up to $10,000 each will be awarded.
