WASHINGTON, D.C. - Starokievskiy Bank (Old Kyiv Bank), one of the first banks to begin operating in Ukraine after its 1991 independence, has been approved for membership in the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), the USUBC executive committee announced today on behalf of the entire USUBC membership of over 175 companies and organizations who have business operations, investments or other development programs in Ukraine.  

Starokievskiy Bank (Old Kyiv Bank) is headquartered in Kyiv, Ukraine. Founded in 1991, the bank passed through all stages of establishing and development of the banking system in Ukraine. In 2008, Starokievskiy Bank a tender of the Pension Fund of Ukraine for the selection of banks through which social security and pension payouts are effectuated. In 2010, the National Bank of Ukraine granted to Starokievskiy Bank the right to issue, distribute and redeem state lottery tickets.
