CRDF Global has successfully conducted three seminars on technology entrepreneurship in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and Dushanbe, Tajikistan between Oct. 31 and Nov. 9, 2011. These events were part of the new "Central Asian Technology Entrepreneurship Program," which was launched on Oct. 23, 2011, by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. The program is made possible through a grant from the U.S. Department of State Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs.

Technology Entrepreneurship Seminars Central Asia 2011

All three seminars were open for researchers and technology entrepreneurs interested in commercializing their innovations and developing sustainable enterprise that would thrive in the global economy. Over 150 participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan attended and successfully completed a two-day-long program, which was specifically prepared to promote the development of relevant skills among scientists, engineers, students and technology entrepreneurs.

These seminars were designed to support the creation and growth of technology companies, innovation infrastructure and the development of human capital in region.
