We are pleased to announce that the US Small Business Administration has approved the Mentor-Protégé Application between Gilmartin Engineering Works, Inc. (Protégé) and Holtec International (Mentor) under All Small Mentor-Protégé Program (ASMPP). The approval permits Joint Venture Agreements between the two companies to pursue contracts set aside or reserved for small business by US Government agencies or commercial corporations. Gilmartin Engineering is a woman owned and service disabled veteran owned small business that specializes in comprehensive technical and engineering services and support to US Federal Agencies, government prime contractors, as well as commercial projects. Incorporated in 2010, Gilmartin Engineering is a small growing company with excellent staff experience and expertise in quality assurance, supply chain development, planning and oversight, engineering, project management, operations management and contracts management. Recent contract work includes nuclear quality assurance, procurement support, and contractor assurance at DOE’s Y12 National Security Complex and the Hanford Waste Tank Project.

 

 

As stated by Lori Gillen, Director of the SBA ASMPP, in the approval letter, “The purpose of the ASMPP is to enhance the development of the protégé and encourage approved mentors to provide various forms of assistance to eligible ASMPP participants to ensure contracting opportunity, experience and overall financial viability.” The Joint Venture companies between the protégé small business and mentor as authorized by 13 CFR Section 125.9, receives an exclusion from affiliation on government prime contracts and subcontracts. The joint venture companies will be registered in the System for Award Management. “We are very excited about supporting the growth of a women owned and service disabled veteran owned small business, while offering government agencies, in particular various missions of the US Department of Energy and US Department of Defense, the full breadth and depth of resources and capabilities of Holtec International.
