Timur Bondaryev Elected UBA Board Member

On May 31, 2013 the 10th Annual Legal Conference of the Ukrainian BarAssociation elected Timur Bondaryev, Managing Partner of Arzinger Law Office,was elected Board member of UBA. It is the second time that Timur has joinedthe associations’ board to determine its policies and development for the nexttwo years, having been board member from 2011 through 2013.

The 10th Annual Legal Conference of the Ukrainian Bar Association was held onMay 30-31 2013. The meeting of the Legal Assembly of UBA – the highestcollegiate body of the Association took place on the second day to elect theBoard for 2013 – 2015.

The new UBA Board will be concerned with establishing relations with theGovernment and legislation initiators to engage associations in decision-makingin the legal field. This aim will be achieved through close cooperation withthe judiciary, increasing the number of joint activities and organizing thework of UBA representatives in public councils. Also, one of the Board’spriorities is lobbying the interests of legal professionals, increasing thenumber of members, supporting UBA’s regional development, expandinginternational contacts and forming social and corporate responsibility,particularly through charity projects.

The Bar Association of Ukraine (UBA) is an all-Ukrainian public organizationfounded in 2002 to bring together lawyers in order to create a strong andinfluential professional community that would become a powerful voice of thecountry’s legal community.
