UIA carried hasids and Ukrainian pilgrims

Within the period ofSeptember 7 – 21, 2015, Ukraine International Airlines carried hasids andUkrainian pilgrims from Israel to Ukraine and from Ukraine to Israel onscheduled and charter flights. 

Therefore, 7289adults and 4 infants took advantage of UIA services to reach Ukraine andcelebrate Rosh Hashana. 3577 passengers were carried on UIA scheduled flights,while 3712 passengers traveled on one of 68 UIA charter flights operatedfrom/to Tel Aviv to/from Kiev and Vinnitsa. 

Over the period,nearly 2000 Ukrainian pilgrims took advantage of UIA charter services toquickly reach the Holy Land and to worship major Orthodox shrines of Israel. 

Compared to thefigures of September 2014, the number of Ukrainian pilgrims and hasids carriedin September 2015 increased by 124.9% and 120% respectively. 

“It has alreadybecome a tradition for UIA to annually provide hasids and Ukrainian pilgrimswith an opportunity to conveniently reach their pilgrimage destinations, –noted Evgeniya Satska, UIA Corporate Press Secretary. – We regard each carriageto be a highly responsible assignment since all pilgrims must arrive to theirdestinations at the precise moment. We are very glad a growing number ofpilgrims chose UIA to be their carrier to and from Ukraine”.
