Starting October 10,2013, Ukraine International Airlines provides passengers with an opportunity tocarry ski equipment on PS-coded flights free of charge.

On UIA flightsirrespective of the service class all passengers (except children under 2years) are entitled to carry one set of skies (maximum weight 23 kg) in checked baggage free of charge inaddition to free checked baggage allowance. 

Each set of skiequipment may include one snowboard, one pair of ski poles, and one pair of skiboots or one pair of skis, one pair of ski poles, and one pair of ski boots.

The ski equipmentmust be packed into a ski bag. The ski bag must not contain any other items inexcess of the above mentioned ones.

The second and eachadditional ski set in excess of free checked baggage allowance established in arespective class of service shall be charged in accordance with UIAregulations.

“In winter UIA not onlytraditionally increases frequencies on the so-called ski-destinations andlaunches seasonal routes, but also provides clients who can`t imagine theirwinter vacation without mastering ski-runs with an opportunity to make theirtrips even more beneficial, – noted Evgeniya Satska, UIA Corporate PressSecretary. – This year we once again open the season of ski equipment freecarriage on all UIA flights.
