INVITATION - The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA, will host a Business Roundtable Briefing with Dmytro Shymkiv, Deputy Head of Presidential Administration.  Mr. Skymkiv has been in charge of implementing major reforms in Ukraine to improve the business environment, to attract additional investment from private companies already active in Ukraine and those companies that wish to invest in the Ukrainian market.

The USUBC Business Roundtable Briefing will take place at 1 p.m - 2:30 p.m on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 in the Chesapeake Conference Room, offices of Dentons Law Firm, 2nd floor, 1900 K Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006. A light lunch will be served.

Dmytro Shymkiv served on the Board of Directors of USUBC when he was General Manager of Microsoft Ukraine. USUBC has worked closely with Dmytro during the past years. Our members had very successful meetings with Dmytro Shymkiv in Washington last February, and we appreciate the opportunity to have latest update from him about business environment and reforms in Ukraine.

BIO: DMYTRO SHYMKIV, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine

Dmytro Shymkiv is Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration since July 9, 2014. His portfolio includes implementation of administrative, social and economic reforms. Currently Dmytro chairs the Executive Reforms Committee of the National Reforms Council which is an advisory body to the President. The Committee’s main function is to prepare proposals for strategic planning of reforms, coordination and monitoring of their implementation. Besides, Dmytro is responsible for management, reorganization and implementation of e-governance in the President Administration.

Dmytro Shymkiv is a technology entrepreneur, innovator, and respected professional with 20 years of leadership experience in the IT industry across Ukraine, Europe and the US. Since May 2009, as General Manager of Microsoft Ukraine, he had successfully led the company from the recession towards a new growth across all product groups and customer segments, as well as developed new business opportunities.

Under Dmytro’s leadership, Ukraine was repeatedly named one of the top-performing Microsoft subsidiaries worldwide, including the award as the Top Subsidiary of the Year in fiscal year 2011. Starting from 2011, Dmytro has been listed among TOP 10 Best Ukrainian CEOs, according to an influential annual ranking of Ukrainian executives Investgazeta. TOP 100, which also named him #1 Ukraine’s best CEO in 2012.

Dmytro Shymkiv holds a system engineering degree in information technology, electronics and telecommunication from Lviv State University Lvivska Politekhnika.
