YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND a small (12), by invitation only, USUBC Roundtable Discussion with Michael Lally, Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs, Eurasia, on Thursday, February 22, 2018, 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Conference Room at the offices of SigmaBleyzer, 6 Baseyna Street, Mandarin Plaza, 8th Floor, Kyiv, Ukraine, followed by a light reception.  The meeting will be off-the-record and will be in English. 

Michael Lally has led business development teams in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine from his office at the U.S. Embassy in Moscow since early 2017.  In 2014-2016 he was Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), in Washington, D.C.  From 2006-2009 he was Commercial Counselor in the U.S. Embassy's Commercial Section in Mexico City. 

Minister Counselor Michael Lally is a long-time top U.S. government expert on Ukraine.  From 1993-1996, Mr. Lally was Commercial Attaché at the U.S. Embassy, Kyiv, Ukraine, where he participated in opening the first U.S. Commercial Office in independent Ukraine.  He was a member of the U.S. government delegation when U.S. Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker was in Kyiv in 2015 and met with the leaders of a considerable number of U.S. businesses at that time.  He has also held several meetings with business leaders in Ukraine since becoming Minister Counselor for Commerical Affairs, Eurasia, in January of 2017. 

The meeting will be an off-the-record, informal, open discussion with Counselor Lally with comments by Lally, the business leaders in attendence and with a Q&A opportunity.
