WASHINGTON, D.C. - YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND a special USUBC meeting with top 3 team members of National Investment Council of Ukraine: Julia Kovaliv, Head of Office, Kostyantyn Chyzhyk, Deputy Head of Office and Nadiia Kaznacheyeva, Investment Project Manager.  The USUBC meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m at the offices of Vasil Kisil & Partners in Kyiv, Business Centre Leonardo, 6th floor, 17/52A Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street, Kyiv Ukraine, 01030​

The National Investment Council of Ukraine (NIC) is a consultative and advisory body under the President of Ukraine. It was established to intensify the development of the investment potential of Ukraine, increase the volume of foreign investments, improve the investment climate in the country and ensure the protection of the investors' rights.

USUBC hosted a very successful meeting with Secretary of the National Investment Council of Ukraine Borys Lozhkin and Head of Office of the NIC Yuliya Kovaliv in Washington last year, and had a productive and informative meeting with new Deputy Head of Office of NIC Kostyantyn Chyzhyk in February 2018 in Washington.

We are very happy to have a follow up meeting with top 3 team members of  National Investment Council in Kyiv and to learn about current agenda of the NIC.

BIOS --  

Yuliya Kovaliv, Head of Office, National Investment Council of Ukraine (NIC)

Yuliya has almost ten years of experience on executive positions in the energy sector and public administration. Before becoming Head of NIC Office, she served as the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade and was responsible for reforming state enterprises and for investment policy. She was also a member of the state regulator of the National Commission, which perform state regulation in the energy and utilities. From April 2016 to April 2017 Kovaliv also held the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board in “Naftogaz Ukraine”.

In her early career, Julia worked for Ernst & Young, business and financial consulting companies in Ukraine, held CFO position in utility and energy supplying companies.

Kostyantyn Chyzhyk, Deputy Head, National Investment Council of Ukraine (NIC)

Kostyantyn joined the Ukrainian public sector as an Advisor to Minister of finance of Ukraine Natalie Jaresko in 2015 on behalf of the German Government project. He left the Ministry as Spokesperson and Head of Communications and International Cooperation in 2017. Kostyantyn’s portfolio included development and implementation of reform communication efforts and advocacy campaigns, as well as cooperation with foreign businesses and partners such as USA, EU, Japan, IMF, World Bank, EBRD, EIB and others.

Kostyantyn worked as Head of Investment Promotion at Odessa Regional State Administration and Advisor to Governor of Odessa Region.

In 2013-2015 Kostyantyn worked at the EU Delegation to Ukraine and before that in the private sector.

Nadiia Kaznacheyeva, Investment Project Manager, National Investment Council of Ukraine (NIC)

Nadiia joined Office of the National Investment Council after almost two years of service as a Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine. She was responsible for the reform of SOEs, investments, privatization and private-public partnership. From June 2016 till December 2017 she also was a member of the Supervisory Board of the national railway company Ukrzaliznytsya.

Before taking government position, Nadiia worked in investment banking industry for almost 15 years. Her portfolio includes successfully closed deals in total amounting to approximately $ 2 bln in Ukraine and other CIS counties.
