WASHINGTON, D.C. – You are invited to attend a USUBC (www.USUBC.org) sponsored working Business Luncheon (panel discussion ) with several top Ukraine government officials, members of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and representatives of regional governments on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the Conference Room of the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation (USUF), 1660 L. Street, N.W., Suite 1000 (corner of 17th and L) Washington, D.C. USUF is a long-time member of USUBC. 

USUBC is very fortunate to have this opportunity for USUBC members and special invited guests to meet with high level officials from Ukraine (many for the first time) in Washington D.C. A light lunch will be served.  There will be an opportunity for Q&A with the luncheon panelists.  The luncheon is organized in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine in the USA.  The panel will be moderated by Morgan Williams, President, USUBC.

Vitaliy Kovalchuk, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine. 

Representative of the President in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine since May 11, 2016. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Kovalchuk served as Member of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the VII and VIII convocations. He was a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Safety and Chair of the "UDAR" Political Party faction in the Verkhovna Rada (2012-2014), Deputy Chair of "Bloc of Petro Poroshenko" faction in the Verkhovna Rada (2014-2015).

Prior to becoming an MP, Mr. Kovalchuk served as the Chair of the Central Executive Committee of the "UDAR" Political Party in 2012. Appointed as the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine on December 26, 2014.

Prior to that appointment in May of 2015, he served as the Chair of the of the Verkhovna Rada Tax and Customs Policy Committee. He became a Member of the Verkhovna Rada in 2014. In March of 2013 he was appointed the Deputy Chair of the Board of the State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine. From 2009 to 2013 he worked as the CEO of Renaissance Capital Ukraine, Central & Eastern Europe.

Chair of the Small and Medium Enterprises Association of Ukraine. 


In 2008-2010 Ms. Prodan chaired the Council of Entrepreneurs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. 
Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine since 2012, serves on the Tax and Customs Policy Committee.   
                                                 

Yuriy Artemenko, Chair of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine         

Prior to this appointment in 2014, he served as Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Ukraine. He was a member of the Verkhovna Rada from 2002 to 2005 and from 2006 to 2007, serving as Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information and the as Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Environmental Policy, Natural Resources and Elimination of Consequences of the Chornobyl Catastrophe. In 2005 Mr. Artemenko was the Head of Zaporizhzhya Oblast Administration. He also hold various positions on the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, served as Advisor to the IREX International Fund. He was a Founder, Board Member and Vice-President of the Ukrainian Association of Press Publishers, Chair of the Public Council under the State Committee for TV and Radio of Ukraine.  

Andriy Pavelko, Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Budget Committee

Deputy Chair of Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction in the Verkhovna Rada.


Mr. Pavelko was elected to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in 2012 and served on the Verkhovna Rada Committee of Fuel and Energy, Nuclear Policy and Safety and then chaired the Verkhovna Rada Budget Committee. President of the Federation of Football of Ukraine since 2015.

Yaroslav Dubnevych, Chair, Verkhovna Rada Transportation Committee

Mr. Dubnevych  serves as Chair of the Parliamentary Transportation Committee since 2014. 

He is a member of Petro Poroshenko Bloc. Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine since 2012.
