YOU ARE INVITED to attend and participate in the Ukraine-U.S. Business Forum on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., to be held at the offices of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 33 Velyka Zhytomyrska St., Kyiv.
 
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine in cooperation with the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, the National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs is sponsoring a Ukraine-U.S. Business Forum in Kyiv in conjunction with the third annual government to government bilateral trade and investment meetings which were established by the U.S.-Ukraine Trade & Investment Cooperation Agreement (TICA), on April 1, 2008.  
 
MINISTER OF ECONOMY AND DEPUTY U.S. TRADE REPRESENTATIVE
The co-chair persons of the TICA meeting Minister of Economy of Ukraine Vasyl Tsushko and Deputy U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) Ambassador Miriam Sapiro, will address the Business Forum on Thursday. They will present information about the key bilateral business and economic issues and trends between the two countries.

KEY ISSUES TO BE RAISED
Since the Business Forum will follow the government-to-government meeting, USUBC expects Minister Tsushko and Ambassador Sapiro give an update regarding some of the key issues of concern to USUBC members such as tax reform, vat tax refunds, grain export restrictions, customs clearances, intellectual property rights, corporate raidership, air safety legislation, reforms to allow private land purchases, and other issues. 

HEADS OF BUSINESS TRADE ASSOCIATIONS TO SPEAK
Top representatives of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC); the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ukrainian League of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, as well as officials from the State Tax Administration of Ukraine, State Customs Service, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the State Investment and Development Agency of Ukraine will speak about the business and  investment climate in Ukraine.
