About USAID Ukraine:
USAID’s development assistance aims to support Ukraine in becoming a prosperous democracy with effective, accountable, and transparent institutions. Over a 30-year partnership, USAID has fostered inclusive economic growth, democratic reforms, a free press, a robust civil society, and a transparent, responsive health system. Amid Russia’s war against Ukraine, USAID has delivered life-saving humanitarian assistance, ensured Ukrainians have heat and electricity despite attacks on energy systems, supported farmers and food exporters in supplying grain worldwide, and aided Ukrainian partners in advancing critical anti-corruption and European integration reforms.
Since the full scale invasion began on February 24, 2022, USAID has provided $2 billion in humanitarian aid, $2.9 billion in development assistance, and $22.9 billion in direct budget support.
