At the opening ceremony Gela Dumbadze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Ukraine, commented: "2018 marks the 100thanniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and Ukraine. It is rather symbolic that this year we have the opportunity to present an exhibition of an honored Ukrainian-Georgian artist David Sharashidze within ArtAsters project. David's artworks present a unique amalgam of Georgian and Ukrainian culture".

Asters' Senior Partner Armen Khachaturyan pointed out: "David is a descendant of those Georgians who over centuries kept creating Ukrainian-Georgian spiritual heritage, absorption of cultures, traditions, and national characters, shared understanding and support of each other at difficult times. Georgians, like David, who found in Ukraine their second native land, added many bright colors to the Ukrainian cultural palette."

Morgan Williams, USUBC's President, indicated that "ArtAsters has, for several years, been presenting the best examples of Ukrainian art to business community and its audience is now truly trans-border. At all times Ukrainian culture is enriched by artists descending from different ethnicities, who work jointly with ethnic Ukrainians for the sake of their common homeland. David and his artistic work is one of the best examples of such synergy."
The event was traditionally held in Asters' office with near a hundred guests attending, including business managers, diplomats, governmental officers and public figures.

David Sharashidze, Kyiv-based artist of Georgian origin whose imagination creates his own distinct world – with all people having iconic similarities and all items having perfected forms. But what makes him really different and easily recognizable is colors on his paintings: rich, dense, magnetic, melting. He once admitted: "Color is the foundation, the beginning which fills the picture with emotional depth and power. Laconic line, restrained and contemplative composition… My credo is to see beauty, enjoy it, and share it".
ArtAsters is Asters' CSR project established in 2009 dedicated to supporting, showcasing, promoting and popularizing the contemporary Ukrainian art and providing opportunity to artists for exhibiting their works in the spectacular Asters' office for the enjoyment of the firm's employees, clients and guests.
