Asters acts as a legal counsel to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in connection with its financing to Enzym, the leading yeast producer in Ukraine.

The loan in the amount of up to EUR 10 million (of which EUR 3 million will be co-financed by TaiwanICDF) will support Enzym's strategy to expand its product range into more complex and higher value added biotechnological products. The investment program includes construction of the new production facilities for yeast-based products, expansion of the fermentation capacities, as well as construction of the water treatment facilities.

Asters’ banking and finance team advising on the project consisted of partner Iryna Pokanay, counsel Gabriel Aslanian and associates Inna Bondarenko and Viktoria Zagreba.
