The U.S. Foundation for Civilian Research and Development in Ukraine, with support from the U.S. Department of State, in collaboration with the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the National Coordination Center for Cybersecurity at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine is proud to announce the Cyber Defenders Reintegration Program.
This program's primary objective is to facilitate the acquisition of essential skills and knowledge for veterans, enabling them to embark on successful careers in cybersecurity. The initiative encompasses comprehensive training in cyber defense and cybersecurity, coupled with assistance in securing employment in the public sector or opportunities within Ukrainian cybersecurity institutions. Beyond imparting new skills and knowledge, the program empowers veterans to play an active role in safeguarding the nation in the digital realm, contributing to the reinforcement of Ukraine's digital infrastructure protection systems.
Key features of the Cyber Defenders Program include:
- A four-month training course conducted by Cyber Unit Technologies, a leading Ukrainian cybersecurity company, covering analytics, OSINT, auditing, and pentesting.
- English language training provided by the British Council School.
- Career guidance facilitated by the employment platform and recruitment agency, Lobby X.
- Psychosocial support designed to aid participants in their successful reintegration into society following their return from active duty.
The program ensures equal opportunities for all veterans, including those with military injuries, trauma, or limited mobility. Participation is open to veterans with health conditions conducive to effective online and remote study (four hours per day).
The Cyber Defenders Program will commence on February 19, 2024 and span four and a half months, offering a blend of online and offline training formats.
Registration for the program is open until February 4, 2024: https://forms.gle/n8qfe5KXLBC5N6QN6
