The energy market stabilisation will help DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia and DTEK Dobropilliavuhillia coal mining groups to restore full operations. The statement was made by DTEK Energy CEO Dmytro Sakharuk during a meeting with the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine on 8 May 2020.

"We can resume production at our enterprises after the situation with the country's energy mix levels out. It is important to have understanding of market operation from the economic standpoint," emphasised the CEO.

Dmytro Sakharuk also stressed that a new energy balance forecast suggested a need in operation of coal mines.

"We have analysed the approved energy mix and see a demand for coal. To support the energy mix, we have developed a coal balance and submitted it to the Ministry," he added.

To remind, DTEK Energy has suspended operation of DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia and three processing plants since 20 April due to a systemwide crisis in Ukraine's energy sector.
