First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) was selected as financial partner of Ukrposhta, the largest national postal service operator, for the provision of leasing services for a period of 3 years.

The bank won the internal competition of the company and will now provide transactional support in vehicle fleet renovation by the purchase of five hundred new FIAT Doblo Maxi passenger cars from the supplier Trade House Ukrlada (Ital Motors) with a total contract amount almoust of 8.5 million euro, 6.4 million euro of which is the amount of financing by FUIB.

FUIB started providing financial leasing services two years ago, defining for itself the following main areas: passenger and cargo vehicles, agricultural machinery, special equipment and railroad cars.

“FUIB has long and carefully worked on this project, and the decision on financing was made during the difficult period for the whole country connected with the epidemic and quarantine. We have studied our partners well, hence, we trust them and believe in the successful implementation of our leasing transaction and in the active development of other joint projects,” emphasized Artur Zahorodnikov, FUIB's Deputy Chairman of the Board.

Buying vehicles is the first important step for Ukrposhta to launch a national project of mobile offices aimed at delivering pensions, social benefits, mail and correspondence to settlements with a population of up to 2,000 people.

According to Serhiy Chernenko, FUIB's Chairman of the Board, FUIB is the first commercial bank to provide transactional support of such national and - at the same time - social significance: “A contract of this scale between a commercial bank and the largest national company is not only evidence of high trust on the part of the state and confirmation of FUIB's stability. This is also an important event for the entire market as it speaks of the maturity of the Ukrainian financial system, which is characterized by fair competition.”
