On behalf of Mrs. Markarova, Government Commissioner for Investments, let me provide you with the following information:
Regarding the Ukrainian Government’s strong commitment to support and facilitate investments in Ukraine, a new instrument, web-portal InvestMonitor, has been launched in June, 2017. The InvestMonitor portal is currently available at: www.investmonitor.com.ua.
The project “InvestMonitor” is aimed at constant monitoring and identifying the areas of concern for foreign business in Ukraine, targeting specific systemic impediments to business operations, as well as improving investment environment for the new and potential investors who consider Ukraine as business location.
The key objective of the project “InvestMonitor” is to develop a tool for assessing the investment environment in the regions of Ukraine on the basis of a questionnaire for investors. The results thereof are transformed in and generate the Index of Investment Environment which forms the core of the project and serves as the practical tool to conduct analysis on key constraints or destructive factors the foreign investors face in Ukraine.
Moreover, the portal “InvestMonitor” is the platform to ensure reliable and effective communication channel with the Government Commissioner for Investments to help solve systemic issues and improve business environment for investors.
We kindly ask you to act as a liaison between the team of InvestMonitor and the companies you cooperate with in order to launch the mechanism of the portal’s functioning with getting the first feedback from investors across Ukraine. We invite all foreign-founded companies to participate in the survey and start using “InvestMonitor” as a communication platform, www.investmonitor.com.ua
The survey will be carrying out till the end of June with the first voting results thereof to be presented on July 1, 2017. Semi-annual updates of the Index in 2017 and its quarterly updates starting from 2018 will allow to track the dynamics of changes per each criterion in every region (oblast).
We kindly ask you to share this information with the companies – members of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council and companies you cooperate with to participate in voting and fill in the questionnaire at www.investmonitor.com.ua.
