Washington, D.C.-- The Embassy of Ukraine in the USA in Washington reported today that 15 more Ukrainians were evacuated from the United States on a charter aircraft by the US Aerospace Company Northrop Grumman.

Today 15 Ukrainian citizens departed from the Dulles-Washington International Airport, and the US Aerospace Company Northrop Grumman has kindly agreed to return them to Ukraine in agreement with the Embassy.

Northrup Grumman is a member of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), Washington, D.C., www.USUBC.org

Northrop Grumman has been cooperating with Ukrainian Space Bureaus for several years and planned to ship a charter plane to pick up Ukrainian designers from the United States, who are assisting with the project to create an Antares rocket booster, which delivers cargo to the International space station every six months.

Northrop Grumman representatives have graciously agreed to our diplomats' offer to use this opportunity and pick up 15 Ukrainian citizens who were stuck in the United States due to quarantine restrictions on their way to Kyiv.

This is also a great opportunity to remind that the "Protection program", initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, is actively working.

The special aircraft had a limited number of seats and took only those citizens who had applied for the program at the Embassy of Ukraine in the United States and were in urgent need of medical, financial or domestic assistance.

The Embassy also expresses its gratitude to all involved agencies of Ukraine that allowed a single landing of the aircraft, considering the emergency situation.

The Embassy will continue to help protect Ukrainian citizens who remain in the United States.
