The digest contains August figures, new services and products for passengers, our plans for the winter season.

Main figures

In August, according to internal statistics*, SkyUp Airlines completed 91.5% of flights on time. Month after month, we continue to work to reach a stable punctuality rate of 85-95%.

In total, we’ve carried out 1,231 flights under domestic and international flight programmes. Of these, 926 were charter and 305 regular. In August, we carried 166,860 passengers by charters. Another 45,029 passengers flew our regular flights.

We continue to carry freight. In August, about 7 tons of freight were transported. All freight was transported by passenger flights in the baggage compartments.

Working for Ukrainians to travel more

In August, we operated 214 regular flights across Ukraine. They were used by 31,107 passengers.

Traveling by plane quickly, conveniently, and safely not only abroad, but also within the country. The most popular destinations in August were: Odesa — Kyiv — Odesa, Zaporizhzhia — Kyiv — Zaporizhzhia, and Odesa — Kharkiv.

We’re constantly offering something new to encourage our travelers to explore Ukraine and the world. In particular, in July, we launched a new short travel format for Ukrainian travelers — CityBreak. Over the past month we received 67 bookings.

Now you can book a vacation (ticket + hotel) in Ukraine in five directions: to Kyiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv.

The first CityBreaks abroad are already available in Istanbul. Turkey is one of the most favorite destinations among Ukrainians, where we start our regular programme from 25 September. We'll fly three times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Destinations for short trips are constantly updated on skyup.aero — the CityBreaks section. You can pay for CityBreaks, as well as for other SkyUp services and tickets, by installments up to 12 payments. This option can be selected at the last step of the booking before paying.

Launched new services

As a reminder, in July, we automated the processing of passengers' requests for refunds for canceled flights. In their personal account on skyup.aero, passengers can choose the type of compensation for a canceled flight on their own without addressing the company's contact center. We’re currently working on improving this service so that passengers can, in one click, get their money back for the canceled flight with instant crediting to the bank card balance.

Also in August, we announced the winter programme — part 1 and part 2. Favorite and new European destinations are already available for sale — Czech Republic, Italy, Georgia, France, Armenia, Spain, Slovakia, Portugal, Serbia, Sweden, as well as exotic countries — Sri Lanka, UAE, Israel, Jordan.

And for lovers of aesthetics, combined with reliability, in partnership with Have A Rest, luggage and travel accessories brand, we’ve developed a limited collection of carry-on suitcases. One of the models is made in bright SkyUp color — the color of good positive mood, which will energize you throughout your trip.

*The method used to calculate statistics is as follows: we consider flights from and to airports of Ukraine. From all these flights, we calculate those that were late by more than 15 minutes, more than 30 minutes, more than one hour and canceled flights. Punctuality rate is the percentage of flights that departed with a delay of less than 15 minutes, according to world aviation standards
