On 22 April 2021, INTA Anticounterfeiting Committee, Eastern Europe & Central Asia Subcommittee with support of the Sayenko Kharenko held an International online forum “Anti-counterfeiting – today’s challenges and smart decisions”. The online event gathered 250 participants in five panel discussions during six hours. 25 heavy-caliber experts representing seven countries (Ukraine, Great Britain, Switzerland, Turkey, Poland, Netherlands, Belgium, and France) joined the event to share their expert opinion on the urgent anti-counterfeiting-related topics.

The online forum was a major event thanks to the high level of the speakers – the representatives of INTA, the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine, the General Prosecutor's Office, Deputy Minister of the Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Vice-Chair of the Supreme Court, judges, People’s deputies, Chairman of the Legal Reform Commission, Deputy Chairman of the Parliament Committee on Law Enforcement, Chairman of the Parliament Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Chairman of the Parliament Committee on Law Enforcement, representatives of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and large transnational pharmaceutical companies (Novartis, Teva, MSD, AbbVie), Ukrainian e-commerce business (OLX, EVO), world-famous brands (Lego Group, Nemiroff, Philip Morris Ukraine), International organisations (World Customs Organisation, Interpol) and law firms (Sayenko Kharenko, Polservice, Deris Legal).

Partner Yaroslav Ognevyuk who took the lead in organizing the forum, provided his comment: “Anti-counterfeiting – today’s challenges and smart decisions”is one of the largest and most successful events in relation to anti-counterfeiting I’ve had the honour to participate and speak at. We’ve managed to organise and successfully hold a high-level event devoted to the problem of counterfeit. The event also let us reach all the goals: local officials had a chance to see the level of the problem and get prepared to work in this direction; the expert speakers shared interesting speeches and noted the importance of the event as a platform for the exchange of experience and ideas; representatives of law enforcement agencies got inspired and felt that they belong to a large community that has common views on the problem. I’d like to thank all the ACC INTA members and speakers of the event!”
