Here, you’ll find the main September figures and news of SkyUp. The digest contains punctuality rate and flight statistics, paid check-in at the airport for domestic flights, new functionality for passengers and directions.

Main figures

According to internal statistics from SkyUp Airlines*, in September we completed 93% of our flights on time. We continue to move towards a stable punctuality rate of 85-95%.

We’ve operated 1,004 domestic and international flights. Of these, 232 are regular, 772 are charter. The total number of carried passengers is 168,379.

We carried 138,690 passengers on charter flights in September. Another 29,689 passengers took advantage of our regular flights.

Average flight load in September was 88%.

We continue to transport freight on passenger flights. In September, we transported 12.7 tons of freight.

Check-in for domestic flights at the airport became paid

From 1 September, for flights within Ukraine, the issuance of boarding passes at airports at SkyUp check-in desks became paid for passengers of regular flights. The service costs 18 euro in national currency equivalent. Free registration id available online no earlier than 48 hours and no later than 5 hours before departure. Details in the news.

Passenger balance launched

In September, we expanded the functionality in the personal account on the skyup.aero website and launched a beta version of passenger balance. With its help, our passengers can not only receive a promotional code for discounts, gifts, and promotional bonuses, but also conveniently manage funds returned for canceled flights — use them to book new flights for themselves and loved ones or withdraw them to a bank card. We started flying from Kyiv to Istanbul and Dubai

On 25 September, SkyUp operated its first flight Kyiv — Istanbul, and on 26 September — flight Kyiv — Dubai. Flights for destination Kyiv — Istanbul — Kyiv are operated on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Flights for destination Kyiv — Dubai — Kyiv are now available on Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The frequency of flights will gradually increase from 9 November, and starting from 21 December, flights will be operated 5 times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Also in September we opened ticket sales for a new exotic destination Kyiv — Zanzibar — Kyiv. Direct flights to the South Island will start on 24 October and will be operated on Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

*The method used to calculate statistics is as follows: we consider flights from and to airports of Ukraine. From all these flights, we calculate those that were late by more than 15 minutes, more than 30 minutes, more than one hour and canceled flights. Punctuality rate is the percentage of flights that departed with a delay of less than 15 minutes, according to world aviation standards
