The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded Morgan Williams, president of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the V degree during the official opening ceremony of Ukraine House in Washington, D.C., on September 1, 2021.
The order was presented to Williams for his outstanding contribution to the economic and business development of Ukraine for the past 29 years, contribution to international understanding about Ukraine's historic and significant heritage, promoting Ukraine as a place to do business for U.S. companies and working to improve the business environment in Ukraine.
Morgan Williams said that he is honored to receive an award from President Zelenskyy as a recognition his work on behalf of the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), www.USUBC.org, and its over 200 members. USUBC is now the largest, Ukraine specific, private business trade association in the world which is not headquartered inside Ukraine.
President Zelenskyy called the opening of the Ukraine House a significant event for Ukraine and its presence in Washington, D.C. The Ukraine House is located in a very beautiful section the U.S. Capital on Kalorama Road and is an outstanding building.
Williams added that the opening of the Ukraine House is a major event. The Ukraine House will host significant events and allow the number of Ukraine events in Washington to expand such as receptions, exhibitions, and cultural related activities. Such a place has been needed in Washington for many years.
