Guests enjoyed the beauty of the modern Ukrainian fashion industry: embroidered contemporary garments presented by FOBERINI and couture designs by the “queen” of Ukrainian fashion Roksolana Bogutska.

Both designers have been featured in world fashion magazines, their collections were shown at multiple runways across the world, dresses are recognized because of unique authentic patterns and amazing hand-made details.

Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Oksana Markarova opened the fashion show, followed by a reception. She said that “Ukraine House was opened to become home for many artists from Ukraine, and this event is a first step to make this happen.”

When asked, what inspires her for creating new collections, Roksolana Bogutska said that it’s all about Ukraine!

All her designs are based on ancient embroidery patters that have been modernized and printed on natural materials.

President of U.S.-Ukraine Business Council Morgan Williams mentioned that USUBC is always pleased to have the opportunity to support cultural diplomacy events in Washington to bring more awareness about Ukrainian talent, arts and amazing potential.
