The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) has opened an office in New York City (NYC).
Olga Yelchenko will be Executive Director of the USUBC New York office.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) has opened an office in New York City (NYC). The new USUBC office will significantly broaden USUBC's opportunities to promote Ukraine as a place to do business, work with members and potential new members, engaging with the financial community, contacts with representatives of the U.S. government and the government of Ukraine and other officials in New York.
The government of Ukraine has in NYC the office of the Consulate General of Ukraine in NYC and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations.
USUBC, www.USUBC.org, will host additional meetings in NYC and be in a position to arrange meetings, with U.S. businesses, for officials of the government of Ukraine. The new USUBC office will also work with USUBC members and other organizations who are active in Ukraine in the area from Boston to Philadelphia.
Olga Yelchenko will be Executive Director of the USUBC New York office. Olga has over 20 years of experience working with private companies, membership business councils and other organizations in Kyiv, Vienna, Austria and New York City.
She has worked as an editor, writer, journalist, corporate relations/communications/business development director, manager of business forums/round tables/conferences, a promoter of Ukrainian art/culture. She has trilingual native proficiency in English, Ukrainian, Russian.
Olga has had several articles published in international publications. She completed an analytical paper on Humanitarian Issues in International Politics: Genocide (Holodomor) during her studies in Vienna, Austria.
Olga holds a BA in Liberal Arts from Eugene Lang College, New School University in New York, a MA in Comparative Literary Studies from Goldsmiths, University of London; and has studied at Webster University in Vienna, Austria and the United Nations International School in New York.
Olga's father, Volodymyr Yelchenko, was Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations in NYC during two appointments, (1997-2001; 2015-2019) and then Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA in Washington D.C. (2019-2021). Ambassador Yelchenko was very supportive of USUBC's work when he was in Washington.
