The USA is ready to continue its cooperation with Ukraine and support the country`s economy including development of agriculture, because due to the natural environment and fertile land the reporting market segment is crucial for the country, informed the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Taras Kutovyi on May 6 during the meeting with the Ambassador of the United States to Ukraine, Geoffrey R. Pyatt.

T.Kutovyi reported about the concept with operating title "3+5" - the priorities of the agricultural sector development, defined by the Ministry. He reminded that in particular, the Ministry plans to complete the land reform, the reform of the system of government support, rural development, and support for small-scale agricultural producers. The reporting priorities will be revealed through other five directions: development of markets, support for production of organic and niche crops, development of the irrigation system, as well as full functioning of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

In addition, T.Kutovyi noted that privatization of state-owned enterprises is one of the reporting five directions.

In turn, G.R.Pyatt added that to date, there are the world-known US companies operating in Ukraine that are willing to expand their businesses and become the partners of Ukraine in development of selling markets. For his part, G.R.Pyatt relies on cooperation with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine to facilitate the business operations for agrarians, in particular in the fiscal system and certification.
