USUBC Legal Series Webinar

The U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), in partnership with the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA), will host a webinar as part of the USUBC Legal Series. On September 23 in Washington D.C. USUBC held an informative and dynamic roundtable with Mykola Stetsenko, President of the Ukrainian Bar Association and Co-Chair of the USUBC “Legal Series: by Members – for Members” project.  

Mykola discussed the latest legal developments in Ukraine affecting USUBC members, focusing on judicial reform and the issues of Ukraine’s anticorruption architecture and enforcement, as well as Justice and Accountability for the war in Ukraine, including compensation of damages. The event was moderated by Irina Paliashvili, Acting President of U.S.-Ukraine Business Council. U.S.-Ukraine Trade Mission event, "Rebirth of Ukraine"

On September 23 in Washington D.C. Irina Paliashvili, Acting President of U.S.-Ukraine Business Council, addressed the “Rebirth of Ukraine” Trade Mission to the United States of more than sixty Mayors and entrepreneurs representing various regions of Ukraine.

Irina underscored a key role of decentralization reforms and the local communities in Ukraine’s economic resilience and development, outlined other reforms affecting investment climate in Ukraine’s regions and mention the programs on empowering women entrepreneurs in local communities led by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Read more…

Ukraine may start biomethane exports this November

According to Bioenergy Association of Ukraine Board Chairman Georgii Geletukha, there are seven biomethane plants in Ukraine, which are expected to start operation before late 2024. Two of them produce liquefied biomethane and do not require connection to the gas transmission system.
