The service will work on the platform of the popular Viber messenger and will provide the issuance and maintenance of virtual payment cards without visiting a bank branch. The cards can be used to pay for goods and services both with Apple Pay and G Pay payment wallets and online. Users will also be able to receive other banking services.
"Our bank continues to work on the introduction of modern digital services available to every Ukrainian. Thanks to the partnership with the international company Visa and Viber, payment services become as simple and accessible as possible for everyone. There is no need to visit bank branches or download applications to start working with ON Money. Simply open the most popular Viber chatbot in Ukraine and find our public account in it. Registration and use of all services is possible in less than one minute. The banking of the future should be as simple, clear and accessible as ON Money. The service is already available to more than 2 million existing customers of Raiffeisen Bank Aval and will soon be available to everyone, "said Oleksiy Puzniak, Director of Products for Raiffeisen Bank Aval's Private Customers.
"Ukrainians are increasingly seeking to use modern payment instruments - fast and reliable. Such a tool is the ON Money service. Visa's innovative solutions unite all market players and create new opportunities for cashless payments. This is especially important at a time when people are increasingly solving everyday tasks online, ”said Vira Platonova, senior vice president and director of Visa's regional office in the CIS and Southeast Europe.
According to Atanas Raikov, Viber's Director of Business Development in the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa (EEMENA), Viber is a unified and secure platform with a set of tools for users and businesses. Viber's task is to help users solve as many tasks as possible within one program, and brands - to establish contact with their customers. Application security is a top priority for developers, which is especially important for the financial sector and payment systems.
Every Viber user registered on the phone of the Ukrainian communication operator can receive an ON Money payment card. The card becomes available for use instantly. Services are provided under the NBU license for the issuance and maintenance of electronic money.
The Bank continues to work on expanding the functionality of the ON Money platform and introducing new opportunities for the use of virtual cards.
