On March 26 in Kyiv, USUBC hosted an exclusive in-person Members Meeting with Brig. Gen. Oleksandr Potii, Head of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine (SSSCIP), and Deputy Head Volodymyr Trofymenko. The discussion provided key insights into the agency’s priorities for 2025, focusing on cybersecurity and UAV procurement opportunities for USUBC members.
Participants engaged in an in-depth discussion on collaboration in cybersecurity, information protection, telecommunications, and drone and UAV procurement. Brig. Gen. Potii and Deputy Head Trofymenko outlined strategic plans and priorities of SSSCIP, emphasizing the critical role of partnerships in strengthening Ukraine’s cybersecurity, protecting sensitive information, and training cyber specialists.
The SSSCIP leadership also provided an exclusive overview of investment opportunities in data centers, telecommunications infrastructure and energy projects. Additionally, they shared insights into the SSSCIP’s role in UAV procurement for Ukraine’s defense forces.
Irina Paliashvili, President & CEO of USUBC, opened the Meeting with introductory remarks, setting the stage for an engaging conversation. The event was moderated by Daniel Bilak, Partner at Kinstellar, USUBC Executive Committee Member and Co-Lead of the Defense Working Group, who facilitated a dynamic discussion. Dan Rice, President of American University Kyiv (AUK), joined the panel to present educational programs in IT technologies.
